Holding On, Moving Forward

quote not mine

We’re on the 3rd month of 2018 already. Things are not easy during these past few months because of some challenges in parenting, career and finances. But I firmly believe that these too shall pass.. I will continue to hold on with my faith in God for I know all of these are just temporary.

Stress is bad for our health… I can’t wait for weekend to come, I’m going to buy few new plants, de-clutter and re-organize at least one area in our humble abode. Wish me all the luck, please! =)

Motivational Quotes

This is my favorite quote at the moment because inspires me to take things positively.  I want to be grateful of each and every blessings that God provides me everyday.  I try my best not to complain. I believe that any time we spend whining is unlikely to help us achieve our goals or solve our problems.  It won’t make us happier!
If you have read me previous posts, my family encountered a heart-breaking experience last April.  We lost a loved one and his death is tragic. Because of that, we are worried about the health of our mom who was completely devastated with the incident. We need to remain strong. We need each other. Despite all these, we have move on, little by little, inch by inch… I know, it is not easy.
Thus, having a positive disposition will help us to recover.

Just a Quick Update!

Hi there!!!

I miss blogging, and I miss reading blogs. Aside from the hectic daily routine, several events hindered me from updating this blog.

Here’s what happened.

First incident: I underwent a Laparoscopic Gallbladder Surgery last May 11.
It was around 1:00 a.m. last May 10 when a painful stomach struck me, I knew it right then and there that it was another painful attack of gallbladder disease, multiple gallstones, that is. I vomited several times and I went to the nearby drugstore to buy Nexium, the medicine I’ve been taking ever since. The pain did not subside so I decided to ask help from my sister in law and she brought me to St. Martin de Porres Hospital ER Dept. After a series for laboratory tests, the doctors ruled out that my gallbladder is already inflamed and the stones grew larger in the average size of 1-1.6 centimeters. Thus, I already needed to undergo a gallbladder surgery. A Laparoscopic Gallbladder Surgery (cholecystectomy) removes the gallbladder and gallstones through several small cuts (incisions) in the abdomen. (Source: http://www.webmd.com/digestive-disorders/laparoscopic-gallbladder-surgery-for-gallstones). I stayed in the hospital for four days and the doctors advised me to rest for 30 days.
Second incident: I was robbed last May 14.

This unfortunate  event happened on the night I was discharged from the hospital. A thief took my two mobile phones and a small amount of money while my daughter and I were asleep on the 2nd floor of our house. My message to the one who did this to me, God knows your evil intentions. I  thank God for protecting me and the innocent lives of my children and loved ones.
So that’s it. Despite these two incidents, I  will never lose my faith to God and I’ll be forever thankful for His wonderful blessings to me and my family. Belated Happy Birthday  to ME!!! 🙂
