Star Power: Sharon’s Search for the Next Female Pop Superstar is one of most exciting singing contests on Philippine TV. Hosted by the Megastar Ms. Sharon Cuneta, along with two champions Prince of Pop Erik Santos and romantic balladeer Christian Baustista. Judges for the show include award-winning performer Ms. Mitch Valdes, ABS-CBN creative genius and director Direk Bobot Mortiz, and international R&B sensation Billy Crawford.
I was able to watch every episode of the contest The contest started with a nationwide audition which resulted to Star Power 20. After series of showdown and mentoring, the Star Power Final 5 will have the final face-off on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at the Henares Stadium in Antipolo City.

My personal choice among the five finalists is Krissel Valdez, the Soul Diva of Davao. I really love her voice. Hope she’ll bring home the crown as the next Female Pop Superstar.
