“As one chapter ends, another begins for you. Enjoy all the things you have been looking forward to. Happy birthday and a very happy retirement to you!” This is part of my message to my boss.
We have been so busy during the past few days because we planned and prepared for our boss’s birthday. It was a surprise party. We prepared PowerPoint presentations that include messages from present and former staff, and some colleagues, and of course, appetizing foods. She has been pronouncing that she wants to retire at the age of 63 that also marks her 21st year in the city government. This gave us the idea of sponsoring a grand birthday celebration for her. She was astounded and we are so glad about her reaction.
